Gentle Outdoor
Well-being Walks
For Chronic Illness,
Burnout Recovery & Gentle Self-Care
These slow, supported walks offer a calm way for people to reconnect with nature, their bodies, and their breath - without pressure, performance or overwhelm.
Whether you're living with chronic illness, navigating hormonal change, recovering from burnout or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, these sessions offer a calm, accessible way to gently rebuild trust in your body and nervous system.
Each walk weaves together mindful, slow-paced movement, simple breathing techniques, seasonal awareness, nervous system support and gentle social connection (always optional)
There's no 'keeping up', no expectation to share and no need to push through. You're welcome exactly as you are.
Two Walk Options Each Month
To make these walks as inclusive as possible, we offer two routes:
The Accessible Path Walk: A fully paved, predictable route with frequent rest opportunities. Suitable for low stamina, chronic illness, mobility concerns and post-illness recovery.
The Moorland Ease Walk: A gentle moorland path offering deeper sensory connection with nature, while still moving at a slow, supported pace.
Both walks follow the same calm structure and are facilitated with care, flexibility and compassion

Meet the Women Supporting Our Walks
Joining us on our walks is Rachel Thomson - an experienced, compassionate, local practitioner who shares a deep commitment to gentle, holistic well-being. Her presence helps create a calm, held and inclusive environment where everyone can feel supported at their own pace.
Rachel is an Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor and Registered Member of the BACP. Her approach is holistic and relational, informed by person-centred and trauma-aware principles.
Rachel brings something particularly important to these walks — lived experience. She understands first-hand the challenges of chronic pain, reduced mobility and recovery after serious illness. Nature and therapeutic support have played a vital role in her own journey, and she is passionate about helping create accessible spaces where others can feel less alone.
