Frequently Asked Questions
Whether you're new to reflexology or a returning client, it's completely natural to have a few questions before your appointment. Below you'll find some answers to some of the most common questions I receive - from what to expect during your treatment, to my cancellation policy. If there's anything else you're unsure about, just get in touch - I'm always happy to help.

What happens during a reflexology session?
Your session will begin with a short consultation to understand your health and wellbeing needs. You’ll then get cosy on the treatment couch (fully clothed, just removing your shoes and socks) while I work on specific reflex points on your feet (or hands, depending on your treatment). The environment is calm, with soft lighting and relaxing music, and many clients drift off during their treatment.
Do I need to do anything to prepare?
No special preparation is needed. Just wear something comfortable and be ready to relax. If it’s your first visit, allow a few extra minutes to complete a short health form and chat about your goals for treatment.
How will I feel afterwards?
Clients often describe feeling deeply relaxed yet refreshed and energised afterwards. You may feel sleepy, emotional or experience a short period of detox-like symptoms — this is your body rebalancing. Drinking plenty of water and taking it easy afterwards can really help.
Can I bring my baby to a postnatal appointment?
Yes, absolutely. You’re welcome to bring your baby along — I completely understand the juggle of new motherhood. The session is always tailored to make you feel at ease.
How long is a treatment?
A full treatment typically lasts around 60 minutes, with the first appointment allowing a little extra time for consultation.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Life happens — I understand. However, appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at the full treatment fee. This is because that time has been set aside just for you and can be difficult to refill at short notice. Thank you for understanding.
Can reflexology help with [specific concern]?
Reflexology can support a wide range of health concerns from stress and sleep issues to hormonal imbalances, fertility, pregnancy and children’s wellbeing. If you’re unsure whether it’s right for your specific needs, feel free to get in touch for a quick chat first.
Is reflexology suitable during pregnancy?
Yes, pregnancy reflexology is safe after the first trimester and can be a wonderful support for many common symptoms. It’s a gentle, nurturing treatment that can help your body adjust to the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy.
Do you treat children and babies?
Yes — I offer reflexology for babies, children and teens. Treatments are shorter and tailored to suit each child’s age and needs. Parents are always present during the session, and little ones usually respond very well.
